The following types of material could be useful:

  • Film, kinescopes and videotape: We will consider film or tapes in any format and will display them for non-profit, educational purposes only. The original copyright holders retain all licensing rights and will receive "courtesy of" credit. We welcome classic news "bloopers" as well as award-winning or innovative coverage. An optional donation to cover the cost of duplication is appreciated and the originals will be returned.

  • Photographs: Any significant still photos of broadcast journalists in action are welcome. We are especially interested in early photos and footage of national TV personalities who got their start in local news. We will display them with appropriate "courtesy of" credit.

  • Oral history: We are interested in the personal stories of broadcasters who covered significant news stories or made a noteworthy contribution to the industry. Examples would include "firsts" in your market, such as the first live shot or first minority or female anchor. See the book preview for more information on areas of interest.
